Control Room Operator
Description
The Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring and coordinating security operations from the Control Room to ensure the safety and security of personnel, assets, facilities, and operations. The role involves continuous CCTV surveillance, incident monitoring, access control support, emergency response coordination, and preparation of operational reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate CCTV and other security surveillance systems.
- Observe, identify, and report security incidents, emergencies, and suspicious activities.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, alarms, and daily operational activities.
- Coordinate with security personnel and emergency response teams when required.
- Monitor access control systems and support visitor and contractor access procedures.
- Ensure timely escalation of security concerns to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly security reports.
- Support the implementation of security procedures, standards, and emergency response plans.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive security-related information.
- Ensure all monitoring equipment is functioning properly and report faults when identified.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Security Operations and/or Control Room Operations.
- Experience in CCTV monitoring and surveillance environments.
- Experience working in a corporate, industrial, or project environment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of CCTV operations, monitoring, and supervision.
- Good computer literacy, including: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Internet applications.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain electronic records.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong observation and analytical skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure. High level of integrity, reliability, and confidentiality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work shifts and respond effectively during emergency situations.
